Jeanne Zhen Zhang is a documentary filmmaker from China and

currently an MFA candidate in Documentary Film and Video at

Stanford University.

Her work investigates the shifting relationship between systems

and human subjectivity through moving images. She considers how

structures of power do not merely represent human experience, but

actively reshape perception, behaviour, and the conditions through

which reality is understood.

Before turning to documentary, she earned law degrees from China and

the Netherlands.
